形態特徵

• Rhizome short, loosely tufted. Culms 60-120 cm tall, 2 mm thick below, several nodose.
• Leaves basal or subbasal, 4-12 mm wide, stiff; sheaths rather long, pale-greenish to dark brown.
• Inflorescence with 3 to 6 partial panicles. Partial panicles 2-5 cm long, lower ones single or binate, upper ones binate or occasionally ternate, each bearing 3 to 7 sessile spikelets, peduncles exserted. Lower bracts leaf-like, surpassing inflorescence, sheaths to 8 cm long, brown, sometimes hispidulous at orifice; upper bracts space-like or scale-like. Spikes androgynous, oblong, 1-3 cm long, subloosely flowered.
• Pistillate glumes ovate to oblong, 3.2-4.5 mm long, acute at apex, yellow to pale brown, usually sparsely hispidulous toward apex, costa excurrent in a short awn ca. 1.5 mm long. Utricles longer than glume, obovoid to ellipsoid or fusiform, 4.7-6 mm long, trigonous, gradually tapering to both ends, many-veined, hispidulous, beak 1-2 mm long, truncate or minutely bidentate. Achenes tightly enveloped, obovate to elliptic, 2.8-3 mm long, trigonous, crowned with a beak shaped base of style; stigmas 3.

分布

• 台灣 : in north part, 800-1,500 m.
• 世界 : India, southern China and southeastern Asia.
